The UK drone industry is expanding at an exponential rate in a wide range of commercial sectors, as well as growing more into the leisure and hobby industry. At RUAS, we can assess and provide recommendations to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) for your pilot competency, and verify that organisations meet UK CAA's requirements for Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO). We can train you to fly drone platforms up to 20kgs for commercial use whatever industry you are in, guaranteeing a quick and cost effective way to gain your PfCO.
Drone training is vital, as Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are increasingly used in security, aerial photography, geospatial mapping and surveying, construction, property management, commercial inspection, environmental monitoring, incident management support, event filming and much more.
Our Remote Pilot Qualification - small (RPQ-s) was the first course of its type, and has been designed to reduce those risks inherent in operating drones to As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP). This is achieved by providing Remote Pilots with airmanship skills, underpinning knowledge, procedures and processes required to operate any Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS), regardless of its weight classification, in todays' demanding operating environment.
This is supported by a range of supplementary courses including both day and night flight assessment, operations manual workshops, aerial imagery and extended visual line of sight training. We also have an introductory course to flight training, designed as an initial overview and provision of the core skills each drone pilot requires to operate safely and legally.
Harnessing a combination of military and commercial experience has allowed us to offer manufactured and bespoke training to meet your specific requirements. All training is developed within an ISO 9001 quality framework and in accordance with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT).
