Our CAA approved two-day drone training ground schools are led by our expert instructors from our training centres across the UK. The PfCO course is designed to provide you with everything you need to get your Permission for Commercial Operations.

All of our instructors are highly experienced in commercial drone operations before joining our teaching team. With a mixture of civilian and military experience, first class training standards are assured at all times.
With a limit of fifteen students per course, the intensive training ensures a deeper understanding of the material and provides networking opportunities for all attendees. The written exam is included on the second day of the course.
Access to our drone training eLearning portal covering 10 modules is included in the cost of the course. These can be completed in your own time prior to attending the ground school section of the course.
The modules include Air Law Responsibilities, Airmanship and Aviation Safety, Human Factors, Meteorology, Principles of Flight, RPAS Components, Airspace Classification, Latitude & Longitude, Basic Map Reading, RPAS Operating Procedures.
The easy to use platform helps you to gain a level of understanding prior to the start of the course and is accessible via an internet connection on any tablet, Apple Mac or PC. If you are a PC or Mac user we strongly recommend that you use the Google Chrome browser.
The Operations Manual is a requirement for all Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) applications. The CAA need to receive this from all organisations in advance of issue of the PfCO.
Our highly experienced instructors will go through the process of completing your Operations Manual, ensuring that it is ready for submission to obtain CAA approval.
The flight assessment determines a drone pilot's competency by looking specifically at your application of knowledge and commercial operating procedures.
You will cover all aspects of planning, pre-deployment and onsite risk assessment to ensure that your drone operation meets minimum legal and safety requirements.
We run regular flight assessments across all of our locations which you can schedule after completing your training, contact us for further details.
Students are not required to hold insurance to enrol on to the PfCO Drone Pilot Training Course, however they will be required to hold as a minimum, a valid insurance certificate sufficient to cover all third party liabilities prior to attending their Flight Assessment. We can advise on appropriate insurers if required.
In addition to our course fees, students should note the CAA administration fee for your application for Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO). Current CAA administration fees are: £247 (exempt from VAT) and are paid directly to the CAA at the end of the process.
