Our CAA approved online drone pilot training course has been developed to allow you to get all the knowledge required to pass your drone pilot theory test and after the successful completion of a Flight Assessment, position you to gain your Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO).
Our eLearning portal allows you to complete your training at a pace you're comfortable with and at a time and place that is convenient for you before booking onto an assessment day, featuring a theory test and a flight assessment at one of our UK assessment Centres (all included in the price).

Access to our drone training eLearning portal covering 10 modules. These can be completed in your own time and in a location convenient to you before booking onto an assessment day (included in the price) when you are ready.
The modules include Air Law Responsibilities, Airmanship and Aviation Safety, Human Factors, Meteorology, Principles of Flight, RPAS Components, Airspace Classification, Latitude & Longitude, Basic Map Reading, RPAS Operating Procedures.
The easy to use platform helps you to gain a level of understanding prior to the start of the course and is accessible via an internet connection on any tablet, Apple Mac or PC. If you are a PC or Mac user we strongly recommend that you use the Google Chrome browser.
The Operations Manual is a requirement for all Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO) applications. The CAA need to receive this from all organisations in advance of issue of the PfCO.
Our highly experienced instructors will go through the process of completing your Operations Manual, ensuring that it is ready for submission to obtain CAA approval.
The flight assessment determines a drone pilot's competency by looking specifically at your application of knowledge and commercial operating procedures.
You will cover all aspects of planning, pre-deployment and onsite risk assessment to ensure that your drone operation meets minimum legal and safety requirements.
We run regular flight assessments across all of our locations which you can schedule after completing your training, contact us for further details.
We understand that sometimes you may feel that after starting your online course, you feel you would benefit from some instructor led classroom based learning, so you can upgrade to the ground school course by paying the difference at any time.

Students are not required to hold insurance to enrol on to the PfCO Drone Pilot Training Course, however they will be required to hold as a minimum, a valid insurance certificate sufficient to cover all third party liabilities prior to attending their Flight Assessment. We can advise on appropriate insurers if required.
In addition to our course fees, students should note the CAA administration fee for your application for Permission for Commercial Operations (PfCO). Current CAA administration fees are: £247 (exempt from VAT) and are paid directly to the CAA at the end of the process.
